The reality of running a small business

This month has definitely been our busiest to date. As hugely lucky as we feel to have grown consistently and taken on more new clients, it has obviously come with hard work on the face of it and behind the scenes.

Luckily, we both have very determined personalities, and always want to do the absolute best we can for ourselves and our clients. This means consistently checking in with our clients, arranging extra meetings or suggesting new ways of doing things. However, it also means that we sometimes struggle to find that crucial STOP button. The importance of being able to switch off (to an extent!) in the evenings and weekends is so important, and something we are still working to achieve.

Jo has a new found skill for accounting and Vic has enjoyed the project management side of things. The skills we have learnt, and are still learning, on our JV journey are vast, and will always come in handy!

On the whole, we are really enjoying working as a team, and are beginning to plan the next steps for the business; nothing that endless cups of tea (maybe with 1 or 2 sugars!) won’t help with.
